    Hi Justin

Just installed into P3D and very impressed.  Great product.  Quick question:

I installed US West Coast from the Planet Earth bundle and then upgraded Alaska to Ultramesh.  Very easy, no problems.  Noticed in looking through the Ultramesh installation document that the suggestion is to rename the original PE files below to .bgx to get the best from Ultramesh:

    —-TOPOSIM_DEM_NorthAmerica_Alaska_Panhandle_LOD12-13.bgl
    —-TOPOSIM_DEM_NorthAmerica_Alaska_Interior_LOD12-13.bgl
    —-TOPOSIM_DEM_NorthAmerica_Alaska_Southeast_LOD12-13.bgl

However, when I look at the PE files I downloaded, the LOD part of the filenames for all of the package are all LOD9-11.

Have I downloaded the wrong PE package?  Those PE Alaska files are all dated June/July 2016.

    Many thanks

    David

    Hi David

Sorry for the too long delay.  I’ve been on hiatus, but now ramping up again. Didn’t help that I didn’t notice that my forum notification email quit working several weeks ago, but . . .

If I recall, the original Continents Alaska included some 5m terrain.  When I expanded it to an state-wide Ultramesh product, I moved those files to the UltraMesh Alaska and removed them from the Continents Alaska differentiate the 10m/19m Continents product line from the 2m/5m UltraMesh product line.

The bottom line is that if you have LOD12-13 files in your UltraMesh Alaska scenery folder you’re good to go.

    Hope this helps

    Justin
