    I want to add that I unchecked the only Toposim NorthAmerica mesh that I had installed in P3Dv4 that I had installed and the plateau/canyons went away. The airport is KLNS.

    I am basically pointing to the same folder too but using the Steam folder since I am getting the error in FSX-SE when I try to point to my custom folder. I am sure it will work with FSX Box Edition if I try it. Is that a FSX-SE thing with the Scenery.CFG file?

    Is there a way to point to a custom folder for FSX-SE outside the Steam folder? Do I need to change the Scenery.CFG file or another file? If not I’ll keep using the Steam Folder.

    Yeap, the problem was the folder path. I copied all the Toposim Planet Earth Bundle extracted files to the Steam DLC folder. That eliminated the problem.

    I was aware of the Win7 bug. I thought the link was for the Scenery.CFG error.

    I went I went back to where things were working. I went back to Steam and re-install (checked) the Toposim areas I had initially. When I checked the Scenery.CFG file I noticed this:

    [Area.139]
    Title=Toposim US Southeast
    Local=DLC\556224\US Southeast
    Active=TRUE
    Required=FALSE
    Layer=134

    It appears that FSX-SE wants the add-ons in the DLC folder (C:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC) and does not like my custom Scenery-Ram folder.

    I am going to uncheck the areas in Steam again and try adding the Toposim files again using my custom folder and then the Steam DLC folder.

    Ok, I saw and ‘OldScenery.CFG’ file in the same folder and opened it. I found an entry for [Area.139].

    I tried installing the scenery again and the area entry was showing on Scenery.CFG as listed below. I tried changing the path to exact path C:\FSX_Software\Scenery-Ram\Toposim\Continents\NorthAmerica but I get the error again on FSX startup. FSX changed it back.

    [Area.139]
    Title=NorthAmerica
    Local=..\..\..\..\FSX_Software\Scenery-Ram\Toposim\Continents\NorthAmerica
    Active=TRUE
    Required=FALSE
    Layer=134

    I just encountered this problem trying to add Toposim North America. And the link you provided is giving me a Error 522 Connection timed out. Any other suggestions?

    For me there were various areas not found. One are was Area.139. I went to the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX folder ant the Scenery.CFG file does not contain an entry for [Area.139]

    Ok, I got the Planet Earth Bundle. One more question if I may. The Toposim add-ons that I purchased before Earth were purchased through Steam. As such they show up in DLC in Steam.

    Do I un-check/uninstall from Steam and re-install using the normal procedures for adding Scenery to the Scenery Library? Or keep those ‘checked’ in Steam?

    So, are the contents of the continents and Earth the same?

    HJust open P3D and go to the World menu, Scenery Library, click Add Area, and browse. . .Justin

    NVM. Found it after a little thinking in the actual flight mode on the top menu under World/Scenery Library. I was trying to get to it from the Scenario window at P3D start.

    Perfect. I can do that. Thanks.

    And will it show up in the list of software in Steam like the others? I am thinking it will not.

    So, if you have Toposim you do not need Pilot’s FS Global? I have Toposim Southeast and West Coast.
